Why change the original Jake from State Farm… instead of just making a new character?

Anyway, it’s still just a marketing gimmick.

They’re just trying to appeal to different groups.

Picking insurance based on who’s in their ads is just silly.

@Jordan
People are unpredictable, that’s for sure.

Getting different faces out there probably helps them market better.

@pennila
Just sounds like marketing with extra layers.

‘State Farm’ just sounds like a place they’d send troublemakers for some old-school punishment.

The real question is why stick with ‘Jake’ at all? Why not make something new and fresh? Feels like they’re stuck in the past with these old ad campaigns.

Advertising agencies know what they’re doing. Every decision is calculated. They kept the name and changed the actor to get attention, pure and simple.

@Justice
I’m just saying it feels lazy. They could’ve gone with a different idea entirely.

But laziness isn’t the issue. They did this on purpose to stir up a reaction.

Alright, maybe so. But I wish they’d just try something new for once.

Maybe ‘Jake’ is just a title, like James Bond.

Haha, that’s a bit out there!

Like a modern Dread Pirate Roberts!

New favorite theory.

And they just keep replacing ‘Jakes’ as needed.

Why does he always have a mix of trendy folks around him?

And he’s so dismissive about the gifts, like ‘I don’t need this, I do this for everyone.’

The whole thing feels off, almost like a subtle nod to something that’s not quite right.

I mean, what else is he supposed to do? The whole ad setup just puts him in an awkward spot.

Why did the partner in the original ad even ask Jake what he was wearing? It was just odd.
