Which insurance companies cover dental/composite bonding?

I’m trying to figure out which insurance companies actually cover dental composite bonding. I’ve had mixed information, and I don’t want to pay out of pocket if I don’t have to. Any recommendations?

I have United, and they covered my bonding.

Thank you!!

I talked to my insurance, and they said bonding wasn’t covered because they consider it cosmetic. I feel stuck since I really need the procedure done for structural reasons, not just cosmetic. Anyone else run into this problem?

Thanks, but that doesn’t really help me much :joy:

It’s not necessarily the insurance company itself but the specific plan you’re on. Each plan is negotiated between the buyer (like your employer) and the insurance company. For example, someone at your job might have a different plan than someone working at another company, even if both are through United or Delta. You can ask your HR/benefits department for a detailed plan book to find out what’s covered under your specific plan.
