What's the best pet insurance in Colorado?

I’ve been looking into pet insurance for my dog here in Colorado, and there are so many options. I’m considering companies like Pets Best, ManyPets, and Lemonade. Has anyone had any experience with these or others? What’s the best plan to cover vet costs, especially with all the outdoor risks in Colorado?

I’ve used Pets Best for my two dogs, and so far, they’ve been great. I really like that they offer different deductible options, from $50 to $1,000. It’s nice to have that flexibility based on your budget.

@Micah
Good to know! Did you choose the $50 deductible? I’m thinking of going for something in the middle like $250.

Yeah, I went with the $250 deductible. It’s a good balance, and I’ve had no issues getting reimbursed. Plus, they have reimbursement choices from 70% to 90%, which helps.

@Micah
Sounds like Pets Best is a solid option then. I’m leaning towards 90% reimbursement. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I’ve got my dog on ManyPets, and it’s been really affordable. They cover unlimited annual claims, which gives me peace of mind. I pay about $30 a month, and it’s been worth it so far.

That sounds pretty good for unlimited coverage. Have you ever had to file a big claim, or is it more for smaller stuff?

@JoshuaMartinez
Luckily, I haven’t had any major claims yet, but they do cover a lot. My dog had a minor injury from a hike, and I got reimbursed quickly. No issues at all.

That’s great to hear. I’m thinking of switching to ManyPets for my dog too, especially since it seems cheaper than some other options.

If you’re looking for wellness coverage, Nationwide might be your best bet. They have unlimited wellness plans, which can cover routine check-ups and vaccinations. It’s been pretty handy for me since I live near the mountains and my dog is always outdoors.

@Wolf
That sounds useful, especially for regular vet visits. Is Nationwide pricier because of the wellness plan?

It’s a bit more expensive, but I think it’s worth it. I pay about $32 a month for unlimited wellness and accident coverage. You might pay less if you opt for lower coverage, though.

@Wolf
$32 a month doesn’t sound too bad for all the wellness extras. I’ll definitely look into it. Thanks!

I went with Lemonade for my puppy, and they had the best rates for young pets. I pay around $27 a month, and it covers a good range of stuff. They offer different options for annual limits too, so you can pick what works for you.

@Chen
I’ve heard good things about Lemonade’s pricing, especially for kittens and puppies. Did you choose the $5,000 annual limit, or did you go higher?

I picked the $10,000 limit, just in case of any emergencies. It feels like a good amount of coverage without going overboard on cost.

@Chen
That sounds like a good plan. I’ll definitely consider them when I get a new puppy. Appreciate the info!

I’ve got a service dog, and I found that TrustedPals was great for that. They have good coverage options, and they cover up to 100% of costs, which has been super helpful for vet bills.

100% reimbursement? That’s amazing! I’ve been thinking about TrustedPals for my dog but wasn’t sure. Is it expensive?

@Taliesin
Not too bad actually. I pay around $33 a month, but you can lower the cost if you choose a smaller reimbursement percentage or a higher deductible.
