Hallo…
I need some advice and don’t really know what to do. A friend of mine, or at least someone I thought was a friend, has been helping me with my car. Since there’s been a lot of car thefts at my apartment complex, I moved my car to his place, which is about 15 minutes away, just to keep it safe.
We usually work on the car together, but recently he went ahead and worked on it without even telling me. By the time I found out, he’d already taken off the front rack and pinion, plus the wheel hubs. Now, the front axle, boots, racks, tie rods, sway bars, and everything else is almost wrecked beyond repair. I’m honestly shocked.
The car was only at his house to avoid it getting stolen, and I never gave him permission to mess with it on his own. Now it’s in way worse shape. I’m not sure how to bring this up with him or what to do next to fix this mess.
Anyone ever been through something like this? How would you handle it
Any advice would be appreciated.Regards…
Examine the damage closely to determine its extent and take pictures for your records.
Since insurance often accompanies the vehicle and not the driver, your auto insurance will normally pay for the damage Verify whether your coverage covers the damage and any potential deductibles by checking your policy.
Discuss the issue with your friend in an honest and open manner. They may offer to assist with paying the deductible or the cost of repairs.
Get an estimate for the repairs by taking your automobile to a repair shop. You will then have a comprehensive understanding of the associated costs.
Consider if you wish to lend your vehicle again in the future. It’s critical to have faith in the individual and be aware of the hazards.
