I recently moved from Washington to South Carolina and am still getting acquainted with the Medicaid income limits here.

In South Carolina, to get Medicaid, your income and other things matter.
Here’s a quick look:
- A single person can get Healthy Connections Medicaid if they make $14,580 or less a year.
- A family of four can get it if they make $19,720 or less a year.
- For seniors 65+ needing long-term care:
- Income must be under $2,829 a month and assets under $2,000.
- They must need nursing home care.
Not sure if you qualify? Apply anyway.
@Natasha12 South Carolina’s Medicaid has strict income limits, but applying anyway is vital. It aims to help those in need, especially seniors and families.
In South Carolina, starting January 1, 2024, if you’re applying for Medicaid on your own, you can make up to $1,753 a month and have up to $2,000 in assets.
