Forward collision warnings are a back seat driver with PTSD and night driving is a paranoid mother with no concept of reality. Hard breaking can be safe driving… when avoiding hazards.\nTesla Insurance has a lot of flaws when grading driving, but fuck. It’s still the “least” expensive.
I pay $120 a month with State Farm. I like that I can drive without worrying about rates going up.

That sounds great. Where are you located and how many miles do you drive yearly? Is it bundled or just for your car?
@Blaze
I’m in Minnesota. There are a lot of deer here, so rates might be lower closer to the cities. I also have multiple vehicles and bundle home insurance.

That’s a sweet deal. I can’t wait to get something similar.

I pay about $150 for a 2023 Model Y Long Range, bundled with another car, home, umbrella, and life insurance. I live in Florida. Rates might go up soon since State Farm has been losing money.

I pay around $125 a month with State Farm for my 2024 Model Y Long Range. I bundle it with home insurance and another car, and I live outside Chicago.
I pay around $140 a month for 12,000 to 13,000 miles annually with a 98 to 99 safety score. I drive a Model Y Performance in Chicagoland. I’m 23, no accidents or tickets, and I have nearly maxed-out coverage. Increasing your following distance can help reduce forward collision warnings. It’s also safer to avoid hard braking when possible, as it can increase the likelihood of an accident.
@zaddockhearns
This can’t be real.
@zaddockhearns
That’s impressive. I thought I had a low rate at $190 in Indianapolis for a Model Y, and I’m also 23. You’re doing better than me!

I was paying $78 a month in Ohio for Tesla insurance.

Really? Are we seriously doing the ‘who asked’ thing? How old are you, 12?
@zaddockhearns
Why does your safety score even matter if your premium stays at $140?

My premium adjusts based on my safety score and mileage. When I keep a 98 or 99 score, it stays around $140. It’s usually only a $5 difference, though.
I pay $92 a month in Austin, TX for my 2023 Model 3 RWD. My safety score is 99, and I drive 11,000 to 12,000 miles a year. I have 100/300/100 coverage with a $500 deductible.
I pay $280 a month for Tesla insurance, no accidents, no claims. Are you all paying less than me?

It depends a lot on your location.

Wow, I pay $150 a month for my Model Y Long Range and my partner’s brand-new Grand Cherokee.
I pay $77 a month with State Farm. I’ve been with them forever, no accidents, and I don’t drive much. I’m 38.
