They’re holding my money for 60 days because of ‘unauthorized transactions’… I tried switching banks on the 17th, but it was too late, so now my account is in some ‘credit only process of closing.’ How am I supposed to pay my bills? Every day this just pushes me closer to the edge.
It messed us up financially too. When you go through their verification process, they only call once. Could be at 3 a.m. If you miss it, that’s your only chance.

Did they at least call within a week? I’m so screwed, I won’t be able to pay anything.

This is why people should have more than one bank account. If something like this happens, you’re not completely stuck.

We still haven’t gotten it back… this happened in August last year.

Update: I filed a complaint with the CFPB and called to dispute my direct deposit since it was sent to the wrong account.

Lesson learned. Always keep some money in another bank in case this ever happens again. I have accounts at four different banks just in case.
