Hi All, my Altroz (petrol) car insurance is set to expire next month. It’s a year-old car and currently has SBI General Insurance. I’m not sure how good SBI is or which other insurers are recommendable. Any advice on choosing the right policy?
SBI General Insurance is pretty decent, but it’s always a good idea to compare with other insurers. You might want to look at HDFC ERGO, ICICI Lombard, or Bajaj Allianz. These are all well-rated and have good claim settlement ratios.
When renewing, check if they offer add-ons like zero depreciation or roadside assistance. It might be worth paying a little extra for those.
Look at the claim settlement ratio and the network of cashless garages before deciding. A wide garage network is really helpful.
Don’t forget to ask for a no-claim bonus if you haven’t made any claims this year. It can significantly reduce your premium.
Try using online comparison tools like PolicyBazaar or Coverfox. They’ll show you premiums and benefits for various insurers side by side.
