Need insurance to cover my pet

My dog already had an irreversible cardiac ailment. I have been searching for insurance for him, but I have come up empty-handed. They all claim there are no pre-existing conditions, but the cost of visiting the vet has skyrocketed. Is there anyone who can offer guidance?

His ailment is not covered by any pet insurance company. Pre-existing conditions will be covered by AKC’s new plan following a full year of coverage.

I will have to look into this. With pet insurance, I’m new. Before him, I had not owned a dog in years. I promise that I do not recall it being this pricey. He recently swallowed a bone fragment, so I paid $1,000 for some x-rays and over-the-counter medications. Because of his heart, I need to be prepared in case something happens, so I won’t have to pay thousands more out of pocket.

I recently paid $11,000 for imaging.

Pre-existing diseases are not covered by insurance, but I have heard of PetAssure; with their discount plan, you can save 25% on in-house medical services provided by participating veterinarians. In the big picture, I know it is not much, but hoping it helps.

Every little bit helps. Regards! I will do everything for my friend, and he is mine. I just want to make sure that after, we both have somewhere to live, lol.
