Mom financed my car and we live 30 minutes apart… how should i handle the insurance?

i’m in a hurry to leave an abusive situation, so my mom financed a car for me under her name. i’m not a cosigner on the loan. since she’s the owner and only her name is on the lease, i’m trying to figure out how to handle the insurance to avoid any issues. i don’t want to accidentally commit insurance fraud, and i want to be sure the car would be fully covered in case of an accident.

since we live 30 minutes away, the car will mostly be parked at my place. should she start a policy and add me, or should i create the policy and add her? any advice would be helpful. thanks! (in colorado)

it might be best to call an independent insurance broker and explain your situation. they can get you quotes from companies that could cover this setup.
