i’m shopping for liability insurance only for my 2003 acura tl, and i got a quote from progressive (photo in the comments). wondering if the coverage is decent for the premium they’re asking. also, does that policy fee at the top get paid every month along with the premium, or just with the 6-month starting payment?

i can’t speak to the premium amount—you could shop around for other quotes—but i’d recommend against minimum liability limits. they often don’t offer enough protection.
do what works for you and your budget, but consider this: many newer cars are worth $25k or more, plus rental costs if an accident involves multiple vehicles. a higher limit protects you better.
uninsured and underinsured motorist bodily injury coverage is another consideration. it’s usually equal to your bodily injury limits and helps cover you if the other driver isn’t insured or doesn’t have enough coverage. having more of it is safer.

for under $5 more a month, you get a bit more protection. not a bad trade-off.
