Is Tesla insurance the best for Tesla owners

Does anyone else think Tesla insurance is the best choice for Tesla cars? It looks like they offer good coverage for a fair price. My old insurance for my other vehicles was charging me twice as much as Tesla’s quote.

They got me with a low rate in the first month, but then it went up by $40, making it the same as my State Farm rate. I already have State Farm for my other cars, house, and life insurance. I also don’t like feeling watched every time I drive.

Cheap insurance is fine until you need to make a claim. That’s when you might regret it.

One good thing about Tesla insurance is they cover half the cost of parts if you ever have to make a claim.

Tesla insurance feels like a temporary solution for people to get lower rates while they shop for better deals. It seems like it’s run by a small team, so good luck if something goes wrong. They didn’t process my renewal properly and left me without coverage without any warning. If you have other options like Geico, which has similar rates, you might be better off going with them.

I’m waiting for Tesla insurance to be available in Canada.

It really depends on what you’re comfortable with. Everyone’s situation is different. I hope no one has to deal with a claim, but I like that Tesla insurance ensures all repairs and bodywork are done directly by Tesla.

I don’t agree. Even in California, where the safety score isn’t a factor, I’ve found better rates for similar coverage with other companies.

When I moved from California to Texas, my insurance for a regular car went up, but Tesla insurance ended up cheaper with a good safety score. In California, I paid $160, and now I pay $140 in Texas. If you drive well, like keeping a safety score of 95% or more, Tesla insurance can save you money. For comparison, Geico, Progressive, Allstate, and State Farm were quoting me over $300 for similar coverage. Tesla insurance worked out better for me.
