Is Alliance Secondary Health a scam?

So I had a high deductible primary and a secondary insurance through my old job from January to October 2023. Then I switched jobs and got a new insurance.

I gave birth in 2023 (almost a year ago now), and I still have claims pending with Alliance Secondary Health (or Optimed, not sure since both names are on the card?). My billing shows that I owe $0, but honestly, I’m starting to get nervous. Does anyone here have any experience with this company?

Is it called OptiMed IHP Essential - Max?

Sorry, I couldn’t edit my original post. It’s Alliance Secondary Insurance.

Did your claims end up getting paid?

Honestly, I’m not sure. I gave them my insurance details for some ER bills from the fall, and when I expressed my concerns, the hospital rep told me not to worry. They said they’d reach out if anything wasn’t paid, and they never contacted me again, so I guess it was paid? I never got any EOBs from Alliance, though.

I still have some pending claims from earlier in 2023 on my patient portal, but it still shows $0 owed.

Really glad I don’t have to deal with that insurance anymore!
