These are the two options I am considering for my new mixed-breed dog. I have not encountered many great benefits like this with other insurances, but Fetch seems to offer a ton. For instance, teeth and gums are a death benefit. However, I truly appreciate that Fursure pays veterinarians directly. Does anyone have any feedback on these or recommendations for other insurances that I might not have considered.
Fursure is a terrific idea, and from what I have heard, those who have used them have had nothing but positive experiences. Having stated that, their recent establishment is the main issue. It is possible that you would not want to take a chance on a business that could be acquired or sold, eliminating your coverage. That is always a risk, though, and it occurs with both newer and more established insurance businesses. Fursure does offer all the insurance I need, but be aware that their direct pay is limited to $5,000 per claim.
Is the $5,000 cap per claim applicable to a single visit? If it turns out to be a new condition, I wonder if they will pay future costs if the problem persists and costs more than $5,000. FurSure sounds like a great idea, and I agree with that, but it also seems too wonderful to be true.
Have you considered direct vet pay through Trupanion, Which state do you reside in, When I looked them up, Fursure did not seem to be in many states yet.
In Washington, DC, I am.
If you do not want your coverage to decrease and your deductibles to increase at random, do not get Fetch. They are a really dishonest company, and I am currently searching for a new insurance company.
