My father asked me approximately two years ago if I wanted to take over the debt, but at the time I was unable to make the payments. I am now twenty-five years old and we do not communicate. How does one go about doing this? I’m no longer in contact with him. If I pass away, would this have any impact or does he just get money?

There’s nothing you can do if you never took it over and you don’t communicate with him; he has a life insurance policy and will receive money upon your passing. Providing he has adhered to the policy, that is.
