Considering a Job as an Insurance Agent?

I was offered a position as a sales agent for Globe Life. The job is remote, but it requires me to obtain a license, which would involve a significant financial investment. Everything is moving really fast, and I haven’t had the opportunity to speak with anyone individually about the role. I’m not sure if this job is the right fit for me, and I’m feeling a bit uncertain about whether I should proceed.

Any advice from those with experience in this field would be greatly appreciated!

Take your time. Research the company, the role, and what the licensing involves. Reach out to current or former employees for insights. If you’re unsure, it’s okay to ask for more time to decide. Trust your instincts!

I work for a big insurance company as a property and casualty agent. People give me tips, but most of them are rubbish. Name and number, for the most part. As a spy in prison, I have to work pretty hard. We’ve set goals that we need to meet or beat in order to make money.

I get a salary and a bonus. I’m in the top 5% of producers and make more than $125,000 a year.
