Car vandalized really bad, how will insurance handle it?

My car was severely vandalized, the side mirrors, windshield, and driver and passenger doors were side swiped and would not open. All of the lights were turned off. In essence, the car is undeiveable, I submitted a police complaint and an insurance claim. I am simply wondering how this will be resolved. I am with an off-the-shelf Kemper insurance company and have complete coverage. I am curious to know what to make of these assertions. Will my automobile be totaled out or fixed? I am feeling very anxious about it.

I’m really sorry to hear about the vandalism to your car—it sounds incredibly stressful. With your comprehensive coverage through Kemper insurance, they’ll assess the damage to determine if it’s repairable or a total loss. Typically, if the repair costs exceed a significant percentage of your car’s value, it may be declared a total loss. In that case, Kemper will offer you a settlement based on the car’s actual cash value minus your deductible. If repairs are feasible and cost-effective, Kemper will coordinate the repair process for you. It’s a tough situation, but staying in touch with Kemper and understanding their assessment will help you navigate the next steps toward resolving this issue.
