Can the United Health Care UCard be used at any online stores?

Can the United Health Care UCard be used at any online stores?

And if so, how does one enter the number?

Ideally, we would like to be able to use it at Walmart.com or Kroger.com for delivery.

Thank you!

My local Dollar General store accepts UHC cards, but they don’t cover sweets, sodas, or ice cream. You might need a backup payment if the UHC card doesn’t cover all items.

You can’t use the UCard for soda or junk food, only healthier items. Make sure to scan the UCard before the food stamp card if using both.

@Williamson
Stores often require the food stamp card first, so it’s easier to split into two transactions.

I tried using it on Amazon, but it didn’t work. Amazon requires an expiration date, and the UCard doesn’t have one.

I use it online all the time by adding it as a payment option. I think it counts as a benefit card.

On Walmart.com, go to Payment Methods and find the S3 logo. Use the long number on the back of the UCard to add it as a payment.

It only accepts the rewards balance portion online; the benefit portion might only work in stores or on the UHC site catalog.

I’m disabled and can’t get to stores, and items on the UHC catalog are more expensive than at Walmart. I’m considering filing an ADA complaint.

@kim
You can use the UCard rewards and OTC benefits online at Walmart. I’ve done it for months.

You can use it on Walmart.com. Go to My Account, then Wallet, and add it as a benefits card with the card number and security code on the back.

Thank you! That option was not obvious. I had to use Kroger for a friend’s order before, but now we have other options!

Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Safeway, and HMart are places I know, but online use depends on the retailer.

You can use the UHC card online at Walmart. Go to Wallet, add the 17-digit card number and security code, and you’re set!

Yes, it works on Walmart. Go to My Account > Wallet, and you can add it as a payment option.
