Anyone heard of Harco National Insurance... good or not?

I’ve been looking into Harco National Insurance, and I see they’re part of IAT Insurance Group. They’ve been around for 25 years, and it seems like they’ve got a solid reputation. Anyone got experience with them? They’re rated A- by A.M. Best, which sounds pretty decent. :thinking:

Yeah, I’ve seen their name pop up a few times. They’re known for property and casualty stuff, right?

Exactly. They’ve been doing specialty property and casualty insurance, and their partnership with SageSure is interesting too.

Wait, what’s SageSure? :person_shrugging:

Oh, SageSure is like the program manager for Harco. They handle customer service, policy stuff, all that… but not claims.

Yeah, they basically do all the admin stuff, except when it comes to claims. So if you’ve got a policy, you’d deal with SageSure for everything else.

Harco’s got that A- rating from A.M. Best. That’s not bad, but anyone know if they’re easy to deal with when filing claims?

A- means they’re financially solid, but I haven’t had to file a claim yet, so IDK. Anyone else?

A.M. Best ratings focus on financial stability, so they’re less likely to run into trouble paying out. But yeah, actual service can be a different story.

I’ve got a policy through SageSure with Harco, and honestly, they’ve been pretty solid. No issues with getting policy info or making changes. :+1:

Good to know! Was it easy to set up everything?

@Ollie
Yeah, super smooth. Just called SageSure, and they handled everything. Didn’t take long either.

Never heard of Harco before this… but sounds like they’re more common in certain states?

Yeah, they’re partnered with SageSure to offer coverage mainly in Connecticut and Massachusetts, so might be more well-known there.

Anyone know if they’re good for homeowners insurance specifically?

That’s what I have. They’re pretty competitive on rates, and SageSure handles the customer service stuff, so you don’t really interact with Harco directly.
