Hey everyone, I came across Beyond Floods, which is National General’s flood insurance that got bought by Allstate in 2021. Anyone know anything about them?
Yeah, what do you need to know?

I’m thinking of signing up and wanted to know if anyone has experience with them. I couldn’t find any reviews online.

I don’t have direct experience as a customer, but National General has been doing flood insurance for years through the NFIP. Their handling of claims might be similar, but of course, coverages are different, so it’s not an exact comparison. It’s something to keep in mind as a starting point.
I haven’t seen any reviews either, but to get a good rate, you might need a high deductible. You should check out Neptune too—I’ve had them for a few years but I’m looking for new coverage.
Update: I decided to go with Beyond Floods for my policy. They had the best rates with more options.

How’s it been working out? I’m thinking of getting the same.

No complaints so far. I’m on my second or third year with them and just renewed. The only thing I’d say is to make sure you check the fine details—sometimes what you discuss over the phone doesn’t exactly match the proposal. But they were definitely the least expensive for me. I also liked that they offer different payment plans, unlike Allstate, which required full payment upfront.
