Anyone had trouble with Erie Insurance refusing claims?

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with Erie Insurance refusing to acknowledge legitimate supplements. They’ve even told the homeowners to ‘find someone else,’ which seems a bit ridiculous. Curious how others have handled this…

Yeah, this happened to me too. I ended up hiring a public adjuster to handle it. Took a while, but it got sorted.

Hiring a PA sounds like a good move. Do you think it made the insurance company take you more seriously?

I think so. They started responding faster after the PA got involved. It’s worth considering if you’re stuck.

The insured has every right to choose their contractor. Depending on the state, you might have a strong case if you escalate it.

Sounds like a frustrating situation. Have you thought about getting legal help? Sometimes, having a lawyer send a letter can push things along.

Yeah, that worked for me once. Just a quick letter, and they suddenly started listening. It’s worth a try if you’re stuck.

This is why I switched insurance companies. Some companies make you jump through hoops for no reason.

Right? It shouldn’t be that hard to get a legitimate claim approved. Glad you found a better option.

If you need legal support, check out LegalShield. It’s like having a lawyer on call for a small monthly fee. Helped me once with a similar issue.

Interesting, I might look into that. Does it really work for stuff like insurance disputes?

Yeah, it did for me. It’s not super expensive either, so it’s worth trying if you’re stuck.
