Anyone had trouble with Erie Insurance refusing claims?

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with Erie Insurance refusing to acknowledge legitimate supplements. They’ve even told the homeowners to ‘find someone else,’ which seems a bit ridiculous. Curious how others have handled this…

I think so. They started responding faster after the PA got involved. It’s worth considering if you’re stuck.

The insured has every right to choose their contractor. Depending on the state, you might have a strong case if you escalate it.

Yeah, that worked for me once. Just a quick letter, and they suddenly started listening. It’s worth a try if you’re stuck.

This is why I switched insurance companies. Some companies make you jump through hoops for no reason.

Right? It shouldn’t be that hard to get a legitimate claim approved. Glad you found a better option.
