I’ve been looking around for affordable car insurance, but the options are overwhelming. Anyone got advice on which companies are the best for low rates?
I went with Travelers. They were pretty affordable, around $122 a month for me. You should check them out if you haven’t!

Same here! They have solid customer service too. I haven’t had any issues so far.
For me, Erie had the best rates. It’s not the absolute cheapest, but they’re reliable and easy to work with.

Erie is great if they’re in your area. Their rates are decent, and I feel like I’m getting good value.
Anyone here tried USAA? I heard they’re really affordable but only for military folks.

Yeah, USAA is super cheap, but yeah, it’s only for military families. If you qualify, it’s a solid choice.

USAA is definitely worth it if you’re eligible. My rates are around $140 a month with full coverage.
I’ve found that paying upfront saves me a bit on premiums. Not all companies offer it, but worth asking!

Good point! I set up automatic payments, and it knocked off a few bucks every month for me.
If you don’t drive much, look into pay-per-mile insurance. It’s saved me a ton since I only drive a few miles a week.

Oh interesting, I’ve never heard of that! Do you have any recommendations for companies that do pay-per-mile?

Metromile is popular for that! They charge based on your mileage, so it’s great if you don’t drive a ton.
