I just got a job offer, and they’re giving me a CIGNA HMO plan with four options:
Employee Only
Employee + Spouse
Employee + Child(ren)
FamilyAt first, I thought “Employee + Spouse” would work since it’s just me and my wife right now. But then I realized that might not cover our baby when they’re born next April.
Do I need to go with “Family” coverage to make sure the newborn is covered from birth? I start the job in November, and the baby is due in April next year.
