What's a good Tesla-friendly insurance company?

I’m considering buying a Model 3 but was shocked by insurance quotes. Progressive gave me a quote of $2567.40 for 6 months, which drops slightly to $2275.80 with state minimum coverage. That’s almost as much as the car payment!

I live in Florida, and Tesla Insurance isn’t available here. I’ve heard that some companies, like Progressive, aren’t Tesla-friendly. Does anyone have recommendations for Tesla-friendly insurers in Florida?

Shop around and get multiple quotes. In Texas, Tesla Insurance and State Farm gave me the best rates, but I know Tesla Insurance isn’t an option for you.

Insurance rates are a numbers game. Get quotes from as many companies as possible, and don’t forget to check with local brokers. Rates change constantly, so it’s worth revisiting quotes periodically.

Exactly. Insurance rates depend on your personal profile and location. There are no universal secrets, just get quotes and pick the lowest.

If you qualify, USAA can be a great option. They’ve been solid for me with competitive rates.

I’m a veteran in Florida, and USAA was the cheapest option I found—$500 less than other companies. Just keep in mind, they now require full upfront payment for 6-month policies in Florida.

I’m in Florida and use Travelers. For me, it’s around $70/month. Might be worth checking out.

Travelers quoted me $162/month in Florida for a Model 3 RWD. It seems to vary a lot by person.

Try Florida Farm Bureau. You have to pay an annual membership, but their rates are usually competitive, and they’re easy to work with.

State Farm gave me the best rate, but Costco Connect was a close second. If those are available to you, they might be worth a look.

I’m in Florida and got a quote from Geico for a 2018 Model 3 Performance at $207/month. It might be worth trying them.

Consider finding a local insurance broker. They can shop around for you and often find better deals than you’d get on your own.

I’m in Florida, 23 years old, no accidents, and Progressive quoted me $242.50/month with a $1,500 deductible. It’s not great, but it was the best I found.

I’ve been with State Farm in Florida for a while, and my monthly premium is $149.83. It’s worth checking them out.

If you’re eligible, USAA could be a good option. I’ve been happy with their rates and service.

State Farm worked well for me. My Model 3 added about $400 to my 6-month premium, which was reasonable compared to other quotes.
