What’s the best car insurance in Texas these days?

I’ve been looking around for a new car insurance provider here in Texas, but there are so many options. Travelers seems to get a lot of praise, but I’m curious if anyone else has had good experiences with other companies? I just want something reliable with good coverage that doesn’t cost a fortune. Any suggestions?

I went with Geico because it was the cheapest, and it’s been solid so far. I’ve had no issues, but I also haven’t had to file a claim yet, so who knows?

I had to file a claim with Geico last year. It wasn’t terrible, but I had to follow up a few times to get things moving.

@Riley
That’s good to know. I’ll keep that in mind if anything happens.

I’ve been using State Farm for a few years. Their app makes everything super easy, and I’ve had no complaints. They’re not the cheapest, but I like how straightforward the whole process is.

Same here! I don’t mind paying a bit more for that peace of mind.

@Devlin
Exactly. I’d rather pay a bit more and not have to worry about any hassles.

Has anyone tried smaller, regional insurance companies? I heard they might offer better deals but not sure about the coverage.

I haven’t personally, but a friend of mine swears by them. He says they’re super responsive because they’re smaller.

I’m with Travelers, and I’ve had a great experience so far. Their customer service has been really good, and I got a discount for bundling home and auto insurance.

I’ve heard good things about Progressive. They have some cool tools to help lower your rate if you’re a safe driver. Anyone here used them?

Yeah, I tried them for a bit. The rates were okay, but I didn’t really feel like the savings were worth it. Ended up switching to Geico.
