Unable to get a car insurance quote online?

Hey everyone! I need some advice on car insurance. I’ve been with State Farm for 2.5 years after previously being with Progressive. I switched because I financed a 2022 Audi A4 in the Summer of 2023, and Progressive’s premium skyrocketed after I upgraded my vehicle.

Here’s my current issue:

Every time I try to get an online quote, I’m immediately told that I can’t be provided with one based on underwriting guidelines. I have a clean driving record with no points on my license and no accidents in recent years. The last ticket on my record was a no-seatbelt violation in early 2024. I’m 38, with good credit, and fully employed.

The only change is that I recently moved to a new town, where my car is mostly garaged at my apartment in a gentrified area.

I’m considering visiting an insurance broker in person to resolve this bizarre situation.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The insurance industry is currently losing a lot of money. Many companies are being cautious and avoiding new risks by restricting who can get a policy. It’s hard to pinpoint why your applications are being rejected, but your best option is to talk to an independent agent. They can get quotes from several companies, including those that don’t sell directly to the public.

Interest rates for private student loans can differ a lot depending on your credit score, the lender, and the loan terms. A fixed rate of 10.5% is quite high. It’s smart to compare rates from various lenders to find the best deal. I found this comparison chart of private student loan companies very useful.
