In 2022, my dog was under a year old when I registered him.

Trupanion’s premiums are infamously high. Trupanion is nearly always the most expensive breed among the thousands of quotes I have run for other breeds across the nation.

Wonderful to know! We are going to switch our homeowners insurance provider to USAA and cancel. I was taken aback by today’s email.

Pet insurance is available from USAA through Embrace, which provides some of the best coverage. I hope it is a fantastic insurance for you.

While Trupanion is by no means the only company increasing rates, they have undoubtedly done so. Significant price adjustments throughout the business can be seen if you browse back through the subreddit. However, Trupanion is nearly invariably the priciest. Since Embrace is frequently on the pricey side, I would be curious to hear how things work out for you. Naturally, keep in mind pre-existing conditions while switching pet insurance providers. Generally speaking, nothing mentioned in the veterinary records before to the transfer will be covered going forward.
