Thinking of switching banks... where should I go?

After 18+ years with USAA, I’m ready to leave either for Navy Fed or a local credit union. My local credit unions are small, and their online banking isn’t great.

What’s it like moving all your assets from USAA to a new bank? Is it a big hassle, or do you just fill out a few forms and the money gets transferred?

I haven’t switched yet. That’s why I’m asking here for suggestions. I don’t think it’ll be hard though. I’d probably just write an opening check to the new bank. No need to rush.
