Hi guys,
I’ve seen some older posts about roadside assistance, but they’re outdated and pre-pandemic. I’d love to hear your current experiences and suggestions.
I’ve been with Progressive for auto insurance and used AAA for roadside assistance. Lately, AAA hasn’t been great. For instance:
- My car wouldn’t start, and I ended up stranded at a garage for 7-9 hours. Multiple trucks came and said they couldn’t tow from under an apartment complex. Eventually, the last driver helped after I insisted and tipped him $20.
- Another time, they sent vans that didn’t tow, so I waited 4 hours in the heat for a proper tow truck to arrive.
Any recent experiences or advice would be appreciated.
Just in case: I live in Florida
