I need some help with an insurance claim. Here’s the deal: I was pretty drunk and let a friend drive my car. He crashed it and then took off, and I ended up running too when I saw him bolt. I’m not sure why I ran, but now the car is probably totaled and it’s in the impound. 
I’ve got full coverage on the car, but I’m not sure what to tell the insurance company. What should I say when I report this?

Take pictures of the collision site that include all of the participating cars, any obvious damage, and the surrounding area. 
Obtain the contact details of any witnesses, passengers, and other drivers.
Ascertain everyone’s safety and, if necessary, contact emergency services. If at all feasible, move your car to a secure place
Get in touch with the police to report an incident, particularly if there are serious injuries or property damage. Obtain the officer’s contact information and the report number.
Give the other driver(s) your insurance information and obtain 
theirs. Names, phone numbers, addresses, insurance company names, and policy numbers are all included in this.
Inform your insurance provider about the collision as soon as you can. Give them access to all the information and records you have gathered.
