Good morning! I’m in a bit of a tight spot today. Due to some unexpected expenses (like car repairs and family events I couldn’t skip), I’m now at the point where I need to buy car insurance today, or I risk losing my car’s registration and possibly my license being suspended.
I’ve looked around, but the only option I can get right now is through Farmers, and it’s about $160 a month. I’m hoping to find something cheaper later, but for today, I’m running out of time.
I’m asking for $60 because I’m confident I can make up the rest by working with DoorDash today, and I didn’t want to ask for more than I absolutely need.

Check out Hugo insurance. I’m not sure if it’s available in your state, but it meets the minimum state requirements, and you can pay by the month, week, or even every 3 days. I’m no expert on car insurance, but if you’re really struggling with the $160 for Farmers, it’s worth a try. We’ve used it for two different cars when we were in a similar situation.
I was able to get a week of Hugo insurance, which will buy me some time to set up a more permanent plan. They’re even handling the paperwork with the DMV. I’ll still reach out to the DMV myself just to make sure everything’s sorted, but this is a big relief!
