I’ve never had to renew an insurance identification card and was never taught how to do it. How do I get a new, unexpired insurance ID card? I emailed my insurance company, but is there another usual way people get theirs? Thanks in advance!

Hey, it depends on the company you’re with. You might be able to log in or create an online account to download your updated cards. If that’s not an option, call their customer service and request the updated cards directly.

You’re mailed one every renewal, but if you missed it, you can have them email you a copy. Most companies also let customers access their policy documents online.

But first, you must create a new online account if you do not have one or log in online at the respective insurance company you are using if they have one. Download your documents online after renewing your coverage. You will be emailed in the case of a successful renewal plus you can access the new one through the mail.
If that is not the case, just contact the insurance company and they sure will assist you in any way that you were inconvenienced.
