If I get married I will be kicked off my parents health insurance?

Since my mother works for the county, the family is covered by her employer’s health insurance. Before I turn 26, my partner and I intend to tie the knot within the following few years. My mother informed me that I would immediately lose her health insurance if I got married. I believed that the ACA made this illegal.

The main reason I am worried about this is that I may become infertile due to a medical problem I have, therefore I wanted to conceive while I was still covered by her health insurance because it offers excellent coverage for reproductive treatments. My residence is in New York.

Once you are married, you will receive numerous rights and benefits.
These range from tax and inheritance benefits, to alimony and child support in the event of a divorce, to your right to take bereavement leave from your job if your spouse should die
