Subject: Help Needed: Unable to Afford Xarelto After Blunt Cerebrovascular Injury
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I’m in a tough situation. I recently had a blunt cerebrovascular injury, and after being on aspirin for two weeks, my doctors decided to switch me to Xarelto for three months due to the severity of my condition. The problem is, I don’t have insurance, and Xarelto costs $700 out of pocket—money I just don’t have.
I applied for emergency Medicaid through the hospital, but I’m unsure if I’ll get approved or how long that process might take. I feel really lost right now and would appreciate any advice. Does anyone know of any programs that could help with medication costs or any other resources I might look into?
I have used GoodRx before, and it is a really helpful resource for getting discounts on prescription medications, including Xarelto. You just search for the medication you need, and it lets you print out a coupon or use a mobile app to show at the pharmacy for a discount.
