I came across an ad for Insurerexpert.com, which claims to shop around for car insurance on your behalf if you provide your details. Has anyone used them before? Are they legit? It’s exhausting trying to get quotes from 9 different companies, so I’m considering giving it a try.
It’s not worth it. They’re just a middleman and don’t provide anything unique. They typically redirect you to existing companies, and you’re better off contacting companies directly.

Thanks for the advice! Quick question—do insurance agents charge a fee, or do they earn a commission from the insurance companies?

Got it, I really appreciate the clarification!
If you use a service like that, prepare for a flood of calls, texts, and emails from sales reps. It’s better to find a local agent who can do the same thing without all the hassle.
Avoid it unless you enjoy being bombarded with calls and messages from different insurance companies. It’s a headache.
