Golf ball landed on my windshield - Will insurance pay?

Good evening…

So, I was driving on a road next to a golf course while on vacation, and out of nowhere, a golf ball hit my windshield and cracked it pretty bad. It’s a rental, and got insurance through Turo for the trip.
Here’s the issue though – Turo is saying they won’t cover the damage unless I can somehow prove it wasn’t my fault. How am I even supposed to prove that? Like, it’s a random golf ball – I had nothing to do with it!
Has anyone dealt with something like this? Should I be filing a claim with my own insurance instead, or should Turo be handling it? I feel stuck and don’t know what to do next.

Urgently help me pliz…

:smiling_face_with_tear:Comprehensive Coverage: Your motor insurance policy’s comprehensive coverage probably covers the damage the golf ball causes. Generally speaking, comprehensive coverage covers losses resulting from non-collision situations like theft, vandalism, or falling objects.

To examine the specifics of your policy and decide on the best course of action, it’s a good idea to get in touch with your insurance agent. :unamused:

:Understand that the amount you must pay for :smiling_face_with_tear:damage before insurance kicks in may apply to your comprehensive coverage.

If the individual who struck the  golf ball can be located, an insurance policy may be put in place in certain situations.

:pleading_face:Your insurance policy may or may not pay for windshield damage caused by a golf ball, depending on the kind of coverage you have.
