Geico customer service

I’ve tried calling +1 (800) 207-7847 atleast every day during regular working hours and have been on hold for an hour.

Is there something wrong with Geicos customer service line or am I missing something like an idiot?

You’re complaining to the wrong people. We’re short staffed because a large portion of our work family was cut loose over the last year so we’re a bit behind. Remember, if you do get answered, the person answering is not the problem and the time you spend complaining just adds to the wait time for others.

@Dawson
Yeah Ofcourse, sorry I wasn’t trying to blame the average joe. I wouldn’t take it out on the poor person answering, just wanted to know what was going on as I’m retrying to restart my car insurance policy as it was cancelled for some reason and the app is no help.

@Clove
I’m convinced they are trying to run off their employees and customers. They just javent told us why yet. It may sound crazy and far-fetched, but the things that have been happening over the last 2 years at least have us believing it’s true. Not trying to come off rude. I’m only hoping to let customers know what’s going on so they maybe take their business elsewhere. Why support a company as awful as them.

Haha is there something wrong??? Is there ever. If you have not already done so, please go through previous posts. That should answer your question. But to sum it up they are firing us left and right, laying some off sometimes and doing everything under the god damn sun to make us quit. You have absolutely no idea the conditions we are being made to work under. The disgusting buildings, pitting us against each other, stripping benefits down to the bare minimum, no profit sharing, essentially no raises, making sure we’re uncomfortable while working in every way. Most of us can’t get outta there fast enough. We’re dog shit on the bottom of their shoe, and the customers are just as unimportant. Other insurance companies are appalled by what Geico is doing to us.

I love how people think that there “something wrong” somehow implying it’s the employees not doing their job. Blame the top dogs who decided to cut staff and overwork those who are left.

Unfortunately understaffed. I hear hold times are horrible. Best of luck

Gotcha. I would suggest going to chat and ask for the reissue dept number. It’s a different 877 number but i don’t remember what it is.

@Sparrow
Sorry. I just saw your msg above as well. Also, ask the agent to review why it cancelled. What state are you in?
