Does GEICO have a waiting period? I’m confused

I called customer service, and they told me I could start my auto policy right away, no waiting period. But I’ve read online in forums and Google that GEICO usually has a 10-15 business day waiting period before the policy kicks in. Anyone here know for sure? What’s been your experience?

That waiting period is only if the system can’t verify your information or in certain states. Just call sales again, and they should clarify it for you.

Thanks! I’ll do that.

That waiting period thing was months ago.

I mean it was a while back, not recently.

So, you’re saying they had a waiting period a few months ago but don’t anymore?

@Ashby
Exactly, they don’t have it now.

@Ashby
Yeah, it was mainly in California.

Got it, thanks so much!
