I was in a minor fender bender where repairs cost $5,700 for my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with 38,000 miles. The accident happened in Florida, but the other driver’s insurance, State Farm from South Carolina, covered a rental car. Due to a billing error, I was charged $277 by Enterprise Rent-A-Car because the insurance didn’t fully pay them. For the diminished value claim, they initially offered $2,000 as reimbursement and for diminished value. I accepted their offer of $2,100, but now I’m wondering if I should have negotiated further.
First, Diminished value win against an insurance carrier is rare, congrats!
