Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to find the cheapest life insurance for a while now. I’ve seen rates vary a lot depending on age and health. It’s kind of confusing with all the options out there. Anyone have any tips or recommendations? Thanks in advance!
Yeah, I’ve noticed the same thing. I found that Banner Life and Protective usually have some of the best rates for younger people. Anyone else have experience with these companies?

I went with Banner Life. They gave me a good deal when I was in my 30s, but IDK if it’s still the same. Rates seem to change a lot over time.

What’s Banner Life? Never heard of them. Are they any good?

Yeah, Banner Life is one of the big ones. They’re known for decent prices, especially if you’re in good health. I think they’re worth checking out.
I checked out a bunch of companies. Honestly, I went with Pacific Life because they had the best rates for someone in my 40s. They weren’t the cheapest, but I liked their customer service.

Interesting. I was leaning toward Pacific Life too. Did you find their process smooth?

Yeah, it was pretty straightforward. Their reps explained everything clearly. I didn’t feel pressured into anything, which was nice.
Just a heads up, rates for smokers are way higher. I saw some crazy numbers like $716 a month for a 60-year-old male smoker. Definitely makes quitting look even more appealing.

Wow, that’s insane. I guess that’s one way to encourage people to quit.

For real. I quit last year, and my rates dropped a lot. It’s totally worth it in the long run.
Anyone know if final expense insurance is a good deal? I’m looking into it for my parents.

I looked into it a bit. Mutual of Omaha seems to have some of the best rates for that. I think it’s a solid option if you just need enough to cover funeral costs.

Good to know. I’ll check them out. Thanks!
Just a tip for anyone comparing rates: make sure you’re looking at term vs. whole life. Whole life is way more expensive, so it’s easy to get confused when you see the price difference.

Good point. Term life is usually the better deal for most people unless you want something that lasts your whole life. Whole life has more investment options, but I never found it worth the price.
