Bristol West is $200 cheaper, but it has terrible reviews

Hi everyone,

I obtained my current auto policy through a local broker 6 months ago:

  • Progressive, 2 drivers, very good full coverage: $907 for 6 months

After 6 months, I need to renew it, but Progressive increased it to $1032 (we didn’t have any accidents or claims).

The same broker found a new quote from Bristol West at $811, which is $200 cheaper than Progressive for the same coverage.

I am tempted to take it, but after reading the poor reviews online, I am having second thoughts.

Do you have any advice for me? Thanks ALOT

Not a huge deal, that’s probably just the eSign discount disappearing. Although I wouldn’t use Bristol West, you can still compare prices. Remember that rates are rising everywhere.

I frequently work with BW; it’s a pretty reliable system. Issues are visible in claims.

Do you have a quote from Farmers? Typically, we place best drivers with Farmers and drivers with a lot of claims, little prior experience, SR22s, etc. in Bristol West. Swiss company Zurich owns both of these businesses.

Issues are visible in claims :sob::sob::sob:. That’s the whole purpose of insurance, dude.
