Your cats’ age and current dental health will play a major role in answering this question. The extent to which the insurer will cover something will depend on whether it is interpreted as a preexisting condition. For instance, many dental sickness policies limit coverage if the cat has gingivitis or tartar accumulation; in certain cases, this exclusion may also be used to exclude dental accidents. Obtain quotations from a minimum of three providers if these are all young cats with no history of problems. Since prices vary greatly by zip code, it is difficult to predict with certainty what you will be quoted. Gum disease affects 80% of cats older than three. I have examined over forty pet insurance plans, and the greatest dental coverage is offered by Pets greatest, Embrace, and Trupanion. I advise obtaining quotations from them. Tell me if you have any further queries.
