Been with them 20 years… time to move on?

Called USAA about my premium nearly doubling ($800 to $1800 per 6 months). They reviewed everything—longtime customer, multiple policies, no claims—and still had no explanation.

So I left. AAA gave me better coverage for $850/6 months. Even after someone rear-ended me last year, my rate is holding steady. Might move my bank and credit card away from USAA too.

I never served—got in through my dad, a retired Air Force colonel. I was on my parents’ policy in ‘91 and got my own when I turned 25.

A $200 savings every six months isn’t worth it. USAA’s claims process is so smooth—had a shop and a rental set up within the hour, all through my phone.

Just switch around. No company deserves loyalty. USAA isn’t special anymore.

“I sent my info to an insurance broker.”

Translation: “I’m too lazy to compare rates myself, so I’ll pay someone extra to show me ads.”
