Good afternoon,
So, I finally went for it and applied for an Underwriting (UW) position at my company. I’ve been here for 5 years now, stuck in a customer service support role, and man, I need a change. I did some digging, and underwriting seems like the perfect escape from getting yelled at by customers all day.
Don’t get me wrong, I do love the company, but I’m beyond burnt out from the constant stress. I’ve learned a lot, but I’m so ready to switch things up and use my skills in a different way to grow my career.
Has anyone else made the jump from customer service to underwriting or another department? How’d it go? Was the transition rough?
