Anyone used Greylock Insurance? Thoughts?

Been looking into Greylock Insurance Agency, and I’m curious if anyone here has had experience with them. They’ve got a bunch of offices in Western MA and seem pretty focused on personal service. Worth checking out?

I’ve worked with them before. Their customer service was pretty solid, especially when setting up a new policy. Plus, having local offices was a big help.

Good to know! Did you have to visit in person, or can most things be handled online?

They’re a part of Greylock Federal Credit Union, right? Does that make their rates better?

Yeah, they’re a subsidiary. I think it might help a bit with rates, but it’s more about convenience if you already bank with them.

Makes sense. I’m with the credit union, so maybe it’s worth looking into.

Anyone tried filing a claim with them? How was the experience?

Filed a claim last year, and it wasn’t bad. Got in touch with a rep pretty fast, and they were helpful.

Nice, that’s what I was hoping to hear. No one likes a long wait when it comes to claims.

I saw they’ve got a mobile app. Anyone use it? Worth downloading?

Yeah, I’ve used it. It’s handy for checking policies and stuff, but I still prefer calling for anything complicated.

Makes sense. Good for quick checks, but not everything.

They mention non-deposit products aren’t insured by the NCUA… is that a big deal?

Not really. Just means they’re not guaranteed by the credit union, but that’s normal for insurance products. Doesn’t mean they’re risky.

Got it. Thanks for clarifying!
