@Lin
Did you end up trying Mile Auto? How was it?
I ended up with Mile Auto after trying a few pay-per-mile options. They’re one of the cheapest but have a pretty basic setup. You don’t get a login or anything—just email and phone support.

Curious, what site did you use to compare insurance? Are you still liking Mile Auto?
@Vern
I think it was Otto. I pay about $50 per month, plus a small charge per mile. Once, I forgot to send my odometer reading, and they charged me for 1,000 miles but credited it back the next month after I sent the picture. It’s a decent deal overall.
@Griffin
Good to know, thanks for the tip about sending the odometer pic!
I’ve been with Mile Auto for a few months. I actually prefer sending a monthly odometer pic rather than using a plug-in device that tracks everything. It’s been cheap and works for me, though their website is really barebones.
I’ve had Mile Auto for about 6 months. Some months I drive just a few miles, and other months I put a bit more on it. The price is good, but their website is a pain—no app or reliable login. I missed sending an odometer pic once, and my bill shot up, but they credited it after I called them. I’ve set phone reminders now so I don’t forget again.
@Stevie
Metromile just canceled their service in Pennsylvania. If Mile Auto is still your main option, has it improved at all?

I haven’t looked for other options. Overall, I think Mile Auto’s worth it for the low price. I set phone alerts now to remind me to send my miles each month, so I don’t miss it again.
